Post a task
Pick a chore from the catalog or create your own. Post it and bidding starts.
Every chore needs someone to do it. Octidy lets everyone name their price. The person who minds it the least gets the job and earns the points.
How it works
Pick a chore from the catalog or create your own. Post it and bidding starts.
Each person bids how many points they would want for doing it. The lowest bid wins the task.
Your dashboard shows what is on your plate. Mark tasks complete as you go.
Points, history, full transparency. Everyone sees who is pulling their weight.
The bidding system
Every household has chores no one wants to do, but some people dislike them less than others. When a chore needs doing, everyone bids the number of points they would accept to take it on. Do not mind scrubbing the bathroom? Bid low. Hate cooking? Bid high. The lowest bidder gets the task and earns those points. Over time, chores shift to the people who resent them least, and everyone is compensated fairly.
Clean the bathroom
Alice wins and does it for 3 points.
Cook dinner
Bob wins and does it for 2 points.
The difference
Who it is for
Keep shared chores fair and visible. Points turn vague effort into clear contributions.
No more passive-aggressive texts about the dishes. Bidding keeps things transparent and honest.
Replace "I always do everything" with actual numbers. Points do not lie.
What you get
Pick from a catalog of common chores, set custom recurrence schedules, or create your own in seconds.
Points reflect effort. Do more, earn more. The contribution of each person is visible and measurable.
Every task, bid, and completion is logged. When someone says "I always clean the kitchen," you will have the receipts.
Built-in fairness
Alice bids low on cleaning and keeps winning it. Bob wins the cooking. Clara takes the yard. No arguments. Everyone ends up doing what they do not mind.
Clara has been "busy" and has not done much. Her points fall behind while Alice and Bob pull ahead. The scoreboard makes it obvious to everyone.
Octidy lowers the maximum bid for Clara based on the gap. She cannot dodge tasks anymore and starts winning chores she would normally avoid.
Once Clara catches up, her bidding range opens back up. She goes back to winning the chores she prefers. Fair effort, no nagging required.
Octidy is designed for households where everyone can contribute roughly equally. If one person is going through a tough stretch, such as illness, injury, or heavy workload, consider pausing until things settle. It is a fairness tool, not a pressure tool.
Octidy is now live on Google Play, so you can start sharing chores more fairly right away.
